| Frequently Asked Questions What is West Virginia Mountain Mall? WVMM attempts to bring together into one central location, all forms of West Virginia arts & crafts items currently for sale by the folks in the mountains of West Virginia. The craft artisans may or may not have their own ecommerce websites. By bringing all of our state's artisans together into one convenient location, WVMM.com makes it easier for you to find what you're looking for and gives our artisans another much needed outlet for their craft. What forms of payment do you accept? For the moment, we offer two payment methods: Credit card through PayPal, and check/cash. If you have a PayPal account, you may purchase that way. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may still use your credit card by way of PayPal's credit card gateway. The PayPal payment page will ask you if you want to set up a PayPal account, but it is not required and it is your choice. PayPal is an Ebay company and is the number one trusted online payment service. For more information about PayPal visit their website at www.paypal.com. In the future as we grow, we intend to offer our own credit card gateway. We do accept cash and checks. However, it is risky to send cash through the mail and must be received before items are shipped. Just as with cash, checks must be received and must clear before the items are shipped. Yet once again, the choice is yours. How do the Artisans get paid? If you choose to add your selections to your shopping cart via the "Add to cart" button, your payment will be routed to WVMM and we will forward it on to the Artisan. WVMM does not take a cut from your purchase price, so your entire payment goes to the Artisan. Using your shopping cart, you can purchase more than one item from more than one Artisan, all in one payment. However, some of the Artisans who have their own PayPal accounts will be noted in the item description, and will include a link directly to the Artisan's PayPal gateway. In this instance, you will be paying the Artisan directly but may be able to buy only that particular item with a single PayPal checkout procedure. How do I get my order? As stated on our shipping page, shipping methods vary according to the type of item or items purchased and will be noted in each item’s description. Items you order here generally are shipped from the Artisan's location, and not necessarily directly from WVMM. This will also be noted in the item description. How do you set your prices? Prices at WVMM are set by each Artisan for his or her own work, and not by WVMM. Artisans whose works are available at Tamarack are bound by their agreement with Tamarack not to undersell on the prices of their items available there. Therefore, prices here for Tamarack Artisans will not be below those of their wares at Tamarack. I am a craft artisan. Can I sell my work on WVMM.com? If you are a West Virginia craft artisan, residing in West Virginia, and your craft items are handmade by you in West Virginia, then you are elligible to be listed at WVMM.com. An exception may be in the case of recorded music, in which the cd or tape must be recorded and mixed in West Virginia but may be mastered elsewhere. We also discourage our Artisans from using commercial kits manufactured outside of West Virginia. Does my work have to be juried to be listed on WVMM.com? No. However, we reserve the right to use common sense. We do check for authenticity to assure that the item is 100% West Virginia made. Refer to the above faq.
